Serial Collection (SC) refers to the periodicals publications purchased and subscribed by MMU Library. Serial collections includes journals, magazines, bulletins, newsletters, online journals, as well as databases.

MMU Library had differentiated these collections according to the location of the collections as below;

a. Popular magazines collection 
Magazines which has been identified as most popular and frequent usage within the library members will be placed at a specific area for easy access of the users. (List of popular titles).

b. Current journals collection
Titles requested by faculties members will mostly be placed in this collection. These titles were known as scholarly titles. All titles are arranged according to alphabetical order. Faculties members are encouraged to make new suggestion for subscription. The request should be submit the to the Serial Office, upon the respective dean's approval,  before end of August, each calendar year.(List of current titles by Faculties; List of current titles by alphabetical order)

c. Malaysiana journals collection
Malaysiana journals collection comprise of journals published in Malaysia and the publication related about Malaysia. Most of the articles will be indexed into the Content Development and Special Collection for easy access of the users. (List of Malaysiana journals)

d. Back issues journals and magazines collection
All back issues for journals and magazines for the current year and previous two years will be located at the Serial Office. Students and lecturers can make reference within the same room and have to ask permission from respective staffs to make photocopies. All titles are arranged according to alphabetical order.

e. Bound journals collection
All back issues journals and magazines will be bound and shelved according to the classification number at the Bound Journal Collection.

f. Online journals collection
Journals and magazines which can be access online will be listed as online journals. Journals and magazines titles within online databases will also be included in the list.

g. Databases collections
This collection comprised all databases subscribed by MMU Library. Our library subscribed to varies type of databases related to
subjects offered in MMU.
