Ebsco Scheduled System Maintenance on 3 until 4 May 2013
EBSCO will be performing scheduled maintenance from Friday, 3 May at 11:00 PM to Saturday, 4 May at 3:00 AM Eastern Time (4 May, 03:00 until 07:00 GMT) on EBSCO e-journal full-text access servers. Direct access to articles from EBSCO linking services will be unavailable for the following list of publishers - National League for Nursing, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), Intellect Ltd, Massachusetts Institute of Technology Press (MIT Press), College of Business and Public Affairs, e-Med,IUPAC and NRC Research Press. Only articles from these eight publishers accessed via A-to-Z TOC Browse, EJS, or SmartLinks+ will be affected. We are sorry for any unconvinience caused. Thank You

Temporary Closure of 24 Hour Learning Point (MMU Melaka campus)

Siti Hasmah Digital Library (SHDL) regret to inform you that our 24 Hour Leaning Point nearby to the Main Hall MMU Melaka campus will be closed temporarily for "MMU OPEN DAY 2013" event from 4th April 2013 (Thursday) until 8th April 2013 (Monday). During said period, you may use our new 24 Hour Learning Point just beside the Main library Melaka campus.

24 HOUR LEARNING POINT OPENS ITS DOOR TO LIBRARY USERS
Dear Library user,
We are glad to announce that our most awaited new 24 Hour Learning Point, MMU Melaka (beside Main Library) is now ready to be used by all Library users.
This area will be opened officially on:
11th March 2013 (Monday)
The area will be operating 24-hours a day. With this new reading area, we hope that all MMU students may use the facilities provided wisely. Please abide all library rules and regulations, and absolute silence is to be observed at all time.

CLOSURE OF LIBRARY TOILETS FOR REFURBISHMENT WORK AT MMU CYBERJAYA
Assalamualaikum & Good day,
Dear MMU students, staff and visitors,
As part of MMU Repair & Refurbishment Program to provide a more conducive learning environment, we will be carrying out the following refurbishment work:Proposed Refurbishment Work for Toilets at Library Building, Multimedia University.
Duration of Work : 10 October 2012 until 30 November 2012 (7 weeks)
The work comprises 2 main closures which are the external toilets located outside of the library and internal toilets which are located inside. During the construction period, all the above toilets will be unusable. Please use the nearest toilets.

LIBRARY INFO CLINIC EVERY WEDNESDAY FROM 2.30pm - 4.30pm
Dear library user,
The library management will be organizing "Info Clinic" session for library literacy module on information searching and other library related services. This session will be conducted in the Main library both campuses starting Wednesday next week (17/08/2011).
Details of the session are as follows:
Day - Every Wednesday (except Public Holiday)
Time - 2.30pm until 4.30pm
Venue - Cyberjaya campus : Final Year Project Room
Melaka campus : Post Graduate Research Point
Those who has not attended and wish to attend, kindly make a registration at the library counter.
Please take note that seats are limited. For Cyberjaya campus, we allocate 15 seats per session whilst for Melaka campus, we allocate 10 seats per session.
The reservation is based on first come first serve basis.

Library Highlights: Overdue Fines
Dear Library User,
We would like to highlights on the fines imposed for overdue items as per below:
Overdue Materials-
Users with overdue items outstanding are blocked from borrowing other library materials until the overdue items are renewed, returned or until the fine is paid. Failure to receive an overdue notice does not absolve the user from the responsibility to return or renew the item by the due date or the recall due date, nor does it constitute grounds for reducing the fine
Interlibrary Loan : No materials may be loaned out until the overdue library loan item is returned.
Fines-
Fines will be accrued from the actual day the item is overdue. No grace period is provided. Exceptional is given to post-graduate students, distance education , where there are seven days grace period, A grace period is an amnesty period , not an additional loan period.
Fines imposed are as follows :
Overdue Fine (Book)
Late return fine charges at RM 0.20/day will be calculated on the first 30 days after the items is overdue. However on the 31st day , the fine charges will automatically described as RM 50.00 and the subsequent days of late return after day 31, another RM 0.50/day will be charged respectively.

NOTICE ON LOST/FOUND ITEMS IN THE LIBRARY
Dear students,
Lost or found your personal belongings in the library shall be reported at the circulation counter. All lost items found by the library will be kept for a certain period. Unclaimed items then will be given to the Security department of Multimedia University.

Renewal library items through YM and telephone
Please be informed that starting from 3rd August 2007, all processes of renewal of library items through Yahoo Messenger (YM) and Telephone must be accompanied with your IC No. (Local)/Passport (Expatriate) and Smart Card ID No.
Also, kindly be informed that renewal of library items at library counter must be done by the smart card holder him/herself.
Please take note that any renewal request without IC No./Passport and Smart Card ID No. or the owner him/herself will not be entertained.
