Please report it immediately to both the Library and MMU Security Department to avoid any misuse. Lost cards that are later found can only be reused by the owner with proper identification.

Fines will be accrued from the actual day the item is overdue. No grace period is provided. Exception is given to post-graduate students, distance education, where there is a seven-day grace period. A grace period is an amnesty period, not an additional loan period.
Fines imposed are varies depending on the USER CATEGORY and ITEM TYPE.

Yes! You’re welcome to return borrowed books to any MMU library branch. Just notify the staff during the return.
Users are fully responsible for all items on loan. If an item is lost, please report it immediately. You may:

This service enables users to request books that are not available in MMU Library’s collection from other institutions. Inter library Loan requests can be requested via the online form at the library portal.

Any applicable fees for Interlibrary Loan (ILL) services shall be borne by the requesting user. This includes service charges, overdue fines, and replacement costs for lost items. Charges are subject to the policies and rates set by the supplying (lending) library.
Renewal of Interlibrary Loan materials is subject to the approval of the supplying library. Users are advised to submit their renewal requests in advance by contacting MMU library officers via email;Â libdesk@mmu.edu.my
This refers to the borrowing of items located at a different MMU campus. Intra Library Loan requests can be made at the library portal.

Yes, intralibrary loan items can be renewed up to three (3) times via the Elite system or by contacting the Customer Experience Department. Online renewals are only permitted under the following conditions:

Library materials can be searched via the Elite sOPAC system. Simply enter the title or subject of interest and refer to the holding information for shelf location based on the Library of Congress Classification Scheme.

Students: 1 item for 2 hours (renewable upon request); overnight loans permitted from 9.00 PM, to be returned by 10.00 AM

Selection of library materials is primarily done by faculty members. Student recommendations may be submitted and will be forwarded to the relevant faculty for consideration.
